KEY STAGE 1 CURRICULUM (YEARS 1 and 2)

Key Stage 1 is the firsts two years of Primary education. Students are placed in classes depending on age.

This Key Stage upholds and promotes the Mission Statement of English School for Girls.

KEY STAGE 1 AIMS TO:

There are 2 timetables working at Key Stage 1 level.

For students in KG and Reception classes school starts at 7:45am with assembly, and finishes at 1:00pm. There are two breaks from 9.20am to 9:50am and from 11:00am to 11:20am. This is the opportunity for students to run round, and to have a snack and a drink. Students may bring their own snacks and drinks with them or purchase a variety of snack items from the school canteen.

For students in Year 1 and 2 classes school starts at 7:45am with assembly, and finishes at 2:00pm. There are two breaks from 10:00am to 10:20am and from 12:20am to 12:40am. This is the opportunity for students to run round, and to have a snack and a drink. Students may bring their own snacks and drinks with them or purchase a variety of snack items from the school canteen.

KEY STAGE 1 CURRICULUM

We offer an International Curriculum based on the English National Curriculum which is a balanced curriculum including the following subjects:

Numeracy, Literacy, Science, Information Communications Technology, History, Geography, Art, Physical Education, Arabic, Islamic Studies and Personal Social and Health Education.
